Q: I cannot see the videos on the website
A: In order for you to preview any of the footage on our site, you have to download Adobe's Flash Player. You can download Flash here.
Q: Why does the video look choppy?
A: This has to do with the way the video is loading, not the quality of the video. In order for us to minimize space on our site, all videos have to stream in order for you to preview them. Depending on your Internet speed, initial load times may vary, and video quality may change. You can see the loading progress on the video itself in the form of a moving gray bar under the actual video clip. If you like what you see, you can click on the clip to view more details about the footage. This means quality, resolution, location, frames per second, etc.
Q: How do I find the footage I am searching for?
A: ProAerialVideo.com currently has a few ways of finding of stumbling onto interesting footage. 1.) You can use the main footage search, which is located at the top left hand side of the screen, directly under our logo. When you click into the search field you will see an advanced search menu pop-up. This allows you to search within a category, if you choose Within Category, for footage, or if you choose to Search by Video Number, you can actually get right back to any footage that you have the locator number for. eg. 211-1001, this will return a single clip, and you don't have to deal with the hassle of trying to find a clip any other way. We also have a Categories and Locations page that will give you a directory style option for selecting a category or location. You may have noticed on the homepage, there are a few fancy tabs that let you find videos quick. You can click on Locations and this will show you a pre-populated Google Map of our categories and location best-match locations. If you click on any pin, you will see the category name pop-up, and a video from the category will begin to play to the right of the map, if you like what you see, click the button under the video that lets you view the entire collection. If you are into RSS, we have an updates and news feed that you can follow on our homepage. This will let you keep up to date with what we are doing and as we add new footage, or get new footage collections. You can also view the HTML version of this feed on the homepage, and find new collections this way. Finally, we also have a New Videos section on our homepage. This is a compilation of the absolute newest videos we have on the site. If you still need help, contact our staff via phone, e-mail or online form for assistance.
Q: What does "Royalty Free" mean?
A: "Royalty Free" means that any of the footage purchased on ProAerialVideo.com, that is royalty-free, may be used an infinite number of times without incurring additional fees or costs. It also means that the footage may be used for any purpose, including: feature films, broadcast video, commercial, industrial, educational, games or on the Internet. Please read over our User License Agreement for a complete answer to this question because some restrictions do apply.
Q: Do I have to be a registered user to view footage? Buy footage?
A: No. You do not need to be a registered user to view footage. Feel free to visit our site and preview our footage without taking the time to register.

However, if you would like to download any of our low resolution comp footage (320 x 240 , 320 x 180), (simply put this footage is no-longer broadcast quality and solely meant to be used to see whether or not the video meets the needs of your production), then you must go through our simple and free registration process.

Ultimately, in order to serve you better, we require that you register with ProAerialVideo.com before purchasing. Registering allows you to track your order, save items in your lightbox before deciding to purchase, share your lightbox contents with other friends and colleagues, and helps us if we need to contact you for any reason concerning your purchased footage. However, we also allow you to purchase our footage without registering, this makes it easier for you to find footage and get it quickly, if you decide that you love us, than we would hope you would register so we can keep you up to date on everything that is going on with ProAerialVideo.com.

Q: How is the footage delivered?
A: All Downloadable footage can be downloaded directly from the website after your purchase has been approved, and if your internet connection can support the download. All other footage is packaged (uncompressed) on a DVD and sent to you via FedEx. All of our footage is also available in DV-Cam for an extra fee of $100. If you have another final video format in mind, let us know and we'll do all that we can to accommodate your request. Our standard format is Quicktime MOV, we can also convert your footage to AVI, MPEG4, and myriad other formats. All of our conversions are lossless, and done in-house and inspected before being sent out to you.
Q: Do you give discounts to student filmmakers?
A: Yes, we do. ProAerialVideo.com is a huge supporter of student filmmakers. If you are a student filmmaker, and like what you see on our site, please contact our staff directly and they will let you know about any deals or promotions we have going on. We will require you to send us a scanned copy of your student ID (must have your photo, name, student ID number, and name of school or university printed on the card.), as well as a copy of your current class schedule.
Q: Do you have collections of footage? Or does everything have to be purchased individually?
A: Officially, our footage is sold individually. However, if you are interested in buying five or more similar videos are a time (ex. Beach footage, city footage, California footage, cloud footage, etc) we will consider selling it as a custom collection. All the footage will be put on a DVD-ROM, or Blue-Ray Disc (depending on the file size, and customer preference), as a single package, and a 10% discount will be applied to the total purchase price. If you are interested in a collection of our HD Footage or wonder whether the five videos you have selected are similar enough to be included in a custom collection, please contact our staff for more information.
Q: Is the footage on ProAerialVideo.com geo-coded?
A: Yes. All the footage found on ProAerialVideo.com has a latitude and longitude documented with it. This is ideal if, for example, you need footage in a very specific area, but are not quite sure whether the footage we have is what you need. Contact our staff for more information about using latitude and longitude, or you can use our embedded Google Maps to find out where the video lives (within one mile accuracy)
Q: Does ProAerialVideo.com footage come with sound?
A: No, none of the footage on ProAerialVideo.com comes with sound. This is ideal for anyone looking for just the visual aspect of what aerial video has to offer. Also, the absence of audio means the footage is that much easier to work with, and that the file size is much smaller, making it easier to download from our site.
Q: Can I return a video if it does not meet my needs?
A: Since you have the opportunity to preview all of our videos online before purchasing, we do not allow refunds or exchanges of any kind. If you receive a corrupted or damaged video file after purchasing, notify ProAerialVideo.com within 72 hours of receiving the defected merchandise and we will gladly replace your video.
Q: How is video priced?
A: All of the videos on ProAerialVideo.com are priced based on $50/second for Royalty-Free footage, with a 10 second purchase minimum (unless the original video was less than 10 seconds.) Videos of 20 seconds or more are not priced because it is our experience that most people want footage between 10 and 19 seconds. A little aerial goes a long way, so to speak. By not pricing our longer footage, we give you the opportunity to speak to us concerning what part of the video you want and how long. If you want the entire length of the video, we will price it accordingly.
Q: Does ProAerialVideo.com do custom aerial video shoots?
A: If you are not able to find exactly what you need or require a custom shoot, please contact our staff and we can find a contributor either in the area you need or one who is willing to travel. ProAerialVideo.com collects video from contributing aerial videographers from all over the world and any of these contributors would be happy to do a custom shoot for you.
